How Japanese straightening (Rebonding)work?
Rebonding targets deep down into the hair shaft. This traditional method of permanent straightening swells the hair cuticle using an ammoniated chemical set as well as another chemical to break down the internal bonds that hold your curls together. After those bonds have been broken down enough the hair is flat ironed into its final position and treated with a hydrogen peroxide solution that reforms a portion of these bonds effectively making your hair permanently straightened.
 The Japanese hair straightening treatment (a.k.a. thermal reconditioning) is permanent -- it actually changes the internal structure of your hair, removes all curl to create pin-straight strands.
 Who's the best candidate for rebonding, and who isn't?
 If you spend a ton of time blow drying and flat ironing your hair and/or have curls that you want to loosen, or if your hair has frizz or lacks shine, you're likely a good candidate.

They work on a variety of hair textures including African American hair types. Do avoid these treatments if you are pregnant, have severely damaged hair from too much bleaching, bleached hair that's super fine, stick straight fine hair or have slight waves you want to keep intact. Basically, if your hair can stand a 450-degree flat iron, it can handle this treatment.
 Home Care:For lasting results, post-treatment shampoo should be free of sulfates (sudsing agents that can strip hair) or sodium (a thickener that dissolves keratin).Shampoos and conditioners containing sodium chloride will strip the treatment from your hair and reduce your results.

And for longest-lasting results, I would suggest shampooing with tepid or cool water and following with a cool rinse. Washing hair everyday will cut the effects of the treatment short. Shampoo your hair as infrequently as possible to extend your treatment results.
